1inch Network integrates with Homescreen service on Skynet platform
The frontend DeFi-project of 1inch Network will be deployed on the Skynet platform with full support for the Homescreen service to access the protocol. ForkLog reported that representatives of the team said so.
The parties contend that the frontend of Web 3.0 and DeFi applications remains the only centralized component of these projects. A Skynet-based solution eliminates a central hosting provider, and, consequently, a single point of failure.
Announced in September, the Homescreen service offers a dashboard that allows users to upload saved versions dapps to their personal Skynet storage. Users can choose which version of the application to use and do not lose access to the protocol, even if the original dapp is not functioning or has been compromised.
“When using a traditional frontend, the user has no easy way to know whether the attacker has updated the code displayed in their browser. Even if they receive a warning, other solutions do not provide access to old versions of sites that they still trust,” the press release said.
1inch has become the first DeFi protocol deployed on the Skynet network with Homescreen support. The project team publishes updates using a single skylink. When a user adds this identifier to their list of applications, the latest version of the dapp is saved to the MySky storage.
Previously, 1inch introduced the fourth version of the protocol of the liquidity aggregator from decentralized exchanges and announced a full transition to DAO.
In December, as reported in December, 1inch Network closed a $175 million Series B funding round.
