
Ukrainian MP Discloses Cryptocurrency Holdings
Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a member of the Ukrainian parliament and the first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax, and Customs Policy, has declared his cryptocurrency assets.
According to the document, since the end of 2022, he owns:
- 0.0007 BTC;
- 0.283 ETH;
- 10 SOL.
Zheleznyak valued these holdings at 17,133 UAH. He stores all his coins on the Binance exchange.
In December 2022, Zheleznyak participated in a cryptocurrency regulation seminar organized by the OCEEA and the UNODC. The seminar discussed existing procedures for the seizure, confiscation, and subsequent sale of virtual assets.
Earlier, ForkLog reported that Ukraine’s Minister for Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin, earned over 17.4 million UAH from cryptocurrency sales in 2023.
Meanwhile, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Vitaliy Kim, declared his wife’s ownership of 0.71 BTC, and the candidate for the head of the NACP, Kateryna Kapliuk, reported owning 31 digital assets.
