Morgan Creek CEO Predicts Bitcoin Surge to $150,000 by Year-End

The post-halving surge in Bitcoin is expected to be “parabolic,” potentially driving its price to $150,000 by the year’s end, according to Morgan Creek Capital CEO Mark Yusko during an appearance on CNBC.

The executive described the leading cryptocurrency as the “dominant token” and “the best form of gold.”

“Post-halving, interest in the asset will increase—many will enter FOMO. We should see a doubling of the fair value. In the current cycle, it is ~$75,000, adjusted down from $100,000 due to transaction-related ‘inscriptions.’ […] Thus, we arrive at $150,000,” Yusko explained.

According to the expert, following the anticipated halving around April 20, Bitcoin’s growth will continue over the next nine months.

“Once this occurs, demand will start to rise, but the daily supply of new coins will decrease from 900 to 450. Towards the end of the year, the trend will become more parabolic. Historically, about nine months after the event, the market forms a price peak before the next bear market,” explained the CEO of Morgan Creek Capital.

Regarding long-term prospects, the expert stated that the leading cryptocurrency “could easily” increase tenfold over the next decade, attributing this expectation to the “law of large numbers.”

Separately, the executive mentioned that his hedge fund favors Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche, although they fall short of the “king Bitcoin.” He advised traditional investors to allocate 1–3% of their capital to the asset. The firm invests about 20% of its capital in altcoins.

In conclusion, the CEO of Morgan Creek described valuations of companies like AMD and Nvidia as “hard to digest.”

Back in January, Yusko expressed skepticism about the imminent approval of spot Ethereum ETFs.
