MetaMask Introduces Airdrop and NFT Verification Feature
The cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask, developed by ConsenSys, now allows users to verify their eligibility for airdrops through integration with the on-chain project Daylight.
?Verify airdrop eligibility in seconds! We’ve partnered with @Daylight to help users check if they qualify for any airdrops in the ecosystem. ☀️

“Has your favorite dapp decentralized and dropped a token? Not sure if you missed any valid airdrops? Check the ‘available airdrops’ section to find out,” states the project’s blog.
A similar feature has been added for non-fungible tokens. Daylight’s user interface offers unique NFT recommendations for each user based on “a multitude of social factors.”
For instance, users can verify their presence on whitelists or compliance with minting requirements.
The application supports this new functionality on Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, Zora, and Polygon networks.
“It’s challenging to track all your on-chain activity and the hottest NFT collection. Fortunately, Web3 helps us build an identity and social graph that we can use to discover existing airdrops and new tokens,” emphasized the MetaMask team.
Previously, the wallet developers added security alerts across various ecosystems. This feature helps prevent malicious transactions and protects users from scams, phishing, and hacking attacks.
Back in March, MetaMask began testing an on-chain payment card by Mastercard, issued by Baanx.
