Atleta Network Team Announces Testnet Launch
The developers of the sports industry-focused blockchain platform Atleta Network have announced the launch of a test network. Representatives of the Web3 company Blockchain Sports informed ForkLog of this development.
Atleta Network is a modular L1 blockchain based on Substrate technology with native cross-chain compatibility. It is designed for the development of smart contracts, issuance of digital assets, and enhancing transparency in financial operations within the sports industry.
The platform employs the Nominated Proof-of-Stake (nPoS) consensus algorithm and the Cross-Chain Messaging (XCM) format for communication between parachains. Atleta’s modular structure includes data storage, smart contract execution, and decentralized application deployment layers.
At the end of May 2024, the developers will launch the Atleta test network, which will feature:
- a cross-chain bridge;
- a wallet;
- a decentralized exchange;
- a blockchain explorer;
- a staking service.
In early May, the project completed a Whitelist NFT distribution, reaching 105,000. Holders will gain access to the test network and become the first users of Atleta Network.
According to Atleta’s roadmap, the main network will be launched at the end of the third quarter of 2024. The native token ATLA will be required for transaction fees and staking, with its initial issuance planned for September 2024.
“There is no information about an airdrop, but the team might follow tradition and reward early users. Subscribe to Atleta on social media X or Telegram to not miss an announcement about an ATLA token distribution, should it occur,” commented project representatives.
The company Blockchain Sports comprises 1,000 developers across the UAE, Eastern Europe, Germany, and Cyprus. It integrates AI, VR/AR, IoT, and other technologies into the sports industry and assists young players worldwide in becoming professional athletes.
Blockchain Sports has invested $8 million in football academies in Rio de Janeiro, Sobral, and Acopiara, where over 200 talented young men, selected from competitions across Brazil, are trained.
