Why is the FDV Metric Important?
The FDV (Fully Diluted Valuation) metric is a key tool for analyzing the price prospects of crypto assets. This metric represents the maximum project valuation assuming all its governance/utility tokens are already in circulation.
FDV helps assess future value, supply change risks, and potential impact on asset prices.
The monetary policy of many new platforms often involves gradually increasing the total token supply. If demand does not increase accordingly, the token price may decrease due to the dilution of the overall market capitalization with new coins.
FDV should be used in conjunction with other metrics for a broader analysis of a crypto project’s potential.
Divergent Bitcoin Predictions
“Rich Dad” Robert Kiyosaki predicted the first cryptocurrency would reach $300,000 by August 25. He emphasized that this is his opinion and assumption, not a lie.
Kiyosaki continues to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, as he is confident in their growth. He also criticizes the “incompetence” of U.S. leaders, including President Joe Biden, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, and Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.
Venture investor Chamath Palihapitiya made an equally bold prediction, suggesting the first cryptocurrency could rise to $500,000 due to its mass adoption.
The entrepreneur is confident in the growth of countries that will pay attention to Bitcoin while maintaining their national currencies. Essentially, they will become dual-currency — one asset for transactions with everyday goods and services, and the other — cryptocurrency — as a store of value.
A much more conservative forecast was made by renowned trader Peter Brandt — $130,000 by September 2025. The analyst considered current market trends, historical data, and assumptions about the future development of cryptocurrency.
Another restrained prediction comes from Standard Chartered. Company representatives suggested that Bitcoin would rise to $100,000 by November — ahead of the U.S. elections.
Ethereum’s Prospects
Influenced by news about exchange-traded funds and scaling, VanEck analysts revised their Ethereum forecast for 2030. They expect quotes of $22,000.
According to VanEck representatives, due to its strong value proposition, the network of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization will continue to increase its market share at the expense of traditional participants and large tech companies.
K33 Research analysts are confident that in the first five months after trading begins, the net inflow into spot ETFs based on Ethereum will range from $3.1 billion to $4.8 billion.
Experts at QCP Capital emphasized that the market remains bullish in anticipation of a wave of demand in the U.S. following the final approval of exchange-traded funds based on Ethereum’s spot price.
An Interesting Initiative from StarkWare
The company behind StarkNet, StarkWare, intends to make the L2 network a unified scaling layer for the first cryptocurrency alongside Ethereum.
According to the firm’s co-founder, Eli Ben-Sasson, such a large-scale expansion for the protocol is feasible six months after the implementation of the OP_CAT update in Bitcoin.
In his view, the application of the company’s ZK-STARK technology will enable Bitcoin to achieve “many thousands of transactions per second.”
The StarkWare co-founder is confident that the new solution can increase Bitcoin’s throughput to tens of thousands of transactions per second.
