Google Enhances Gmail and Other Services with AI Integration

Google has integrated the AI model Gemini into the side panel of Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive for paid users.

In Gmail, the neural network assists in drafting emails, answering questions, and finding specific information from incoming messages or Google Drive files.

To facilitate ease of use, Gemini will provide prompts. This new functionality is also available in the email client app on Android and iOS.

Examples of Gemini’s application in other Google services include:

• In Docs, the neural network aids in writing and refining content, summarizing information, and brainstorming;
• In Slides, Gemini can create new slides and images and summarize presentations;
• In Sheets, it helps organize and track data, create tables, and generate formulas;
• In Drive, the AI panel allows for summarizing information and providing brief project overviews.

In May, Google adapted the Gemini AI model for integration into its search system.

Previously, the corporation introduced new AI-based features to accelerate content creation on YouTube.

Back in April, Meta added the Meta AI assistant to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger.

In June, Apple announced the addition of ChatGPT to Siri and other services in iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, along with a major Apple Intelligence initiative.
