Donald Trump Launches Pre-Order for Bitcoin-Themed Sneakers

Former US President and current presidential candidate Donald Trump has unveiled a limited edition collection of sneakers featuring the Bitcoin logo. 

“Buy your Bitcoin sneakers now. This is a limited edition, they are numbered, and you can now pay for them with BTC or your favorite cryptocurrency,” wrote the politician on his social network TruthSocial. 

The sneakers are available in two colors—gold (1000 pairs) and black (4000 pairs). The price per pair is $499 and $299 respectively.

Trump made the announcement shortly after speaking at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville. 

At the event, he promised to end the government’s war on cryptocurrencies if elected president. The former president reiterated his support for mining and the stablecoin sector, and once again stated his intention to ease the sentence of Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht. 

According to organizer and CEO of Bitcoin Magazine David Bailey, Trump raised $25 million in campaign donations during the conference. 

Back in July, the presidential candidate hinted at the launch of a fourth NFT collection.
