Donald Trump Endorses Sons’ Cryptocurrency Venture

Former U.S. President Donald Trump shared a post on his social network, Truth Social, linking to the Telegram channel The DeFiant Ones, associated with his sons’ cryptocurrency project.

“For too long, the average American has been squeezed by big banks and the financial elite. It’s time for us to take a stand—together,” the politician wrote.

The messaging channel was created on August 7 and currently has just over 28,000 subscribers. Its description states it is the “official Trump DeFi channel.”

On August 17, the channel’s owners promised to release “some important updates” within “a few days.”

Donald Trump Jr. first announced the new news source on August 15 on the social network X.

Previously, Eric Trump, president of The Trump Organization, along with his brother, announced a cryptocurrency and DeFi-related initiative on social media. They clarified that it would be a platform to “displace” banks.

The name of the Telegram channel matches the trademark Be DeFiant, registered in July. Other names include World Liberty and World Liberty Financial.

It was earlier revealed that Donald Trump owns cryptocurrencies worth up to $5 million and has earned over $7 million from investments in NFTs.
