VanEck CEO Predicts Bitcoin to Reach $300,000

The price of the leading cryptocurrency will reach $300,000, according to VanEck CEO Jan Van Eck in an interview with CNBC.

“Bitcoin will reach a new all-time high today [November 8], and I think it will continue to rise. Ultimately, I believe Bitcoin’s market cap will reach half that of gold, which means about $300,000 per Bitcoin,” he stated.

Van Eck described his forecast as “balanced.” According to him, maximalists are confident that the leading cryptocurrency will surpass gold.

“Bitcoin is digital gold to me,” emphasized the CEO of VanEck.

In August, he predicted digital gold at $350,000 when its market cap reaches half that of the primary precious metal. At that time, Van Eck revealed he had invested “more than 30%” of his capital in Bitcoin.

Earlier, VanEck experts suggested that the leading cryptocurrency could rise to $2.9 million by 2050 amid its adoption as a global medium of exchange and reserve currency.

In November, Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee predicted Bitcoin would reach $100,000 by the end of 2024.
