Doodles NFT Partners with McDonald’s for Holiday Campaign

Starting November 18, Doodles-style illustrations will adorn 100 million festive McCafe cups in U.S. restaurants, following a partnership between the restaurant chain and the NFT project.

The initiative, named GM Spread Joy, will also extend to TikTok and Instagram.

Organizers will distribute “digital gifts” and a set of collectible items featuring McDonald’s x Doodles branding.

“We chose Doodles because they are a catalyst for change in the cultural landscape and transcend digital assets,” commented McDonald’s Chief Marketing Officer Tariq Hassan.

The NFT project team anticipates a significant expansion of the Noodles community.

On September 13, developers released the animated cartoon Dullsville and the Doodleverse.

Doodles was founded by former Dapper Labs employees Evan Keast and Jordan Castro, along with digital artist Scott Martin (Burnt Toast) in 2021.

The NFT collection, released on Ethereum, consists of 10,000 tokens. On the OpenSea marketplace, it ranks tenth in all-time sales volume with 317,000 ETH (~$963.4 million).

In the last 24 hours, Doodles’ volume increased by 119%, reaching 219 ETH.

Back in September 2022, the creators of the NFT collection closed a $54 million funding round, valuing the project at $704 million.

Earlier, ForkLog reported a 26.5% increase in trading volume on major marketplaces like Blur and OpenSea, reaching $121.6 million.
