Chornomorsk Resident Defrauded in Bitcoin Purchase

A 37-year-old resident of Chornomorsk in the Odesa region fell victim to fraudsters while attempting to purchase 1 BTC. This was reported by local Telegram channels.

According to the victim, he decided to buy the cryptocurrency during an “online sale” at a price of 43,000 hryvnias per coin. After transferring the money, the seller ceased communication.

At the time of writing, the market value of one bitcoin is $96,054 (over 4 million UAH), according to CoinGecko. 

Back in August, a case was brought before a Kyiv court concerning members of a criminal group who solicited funds under the guise of cryptocurrency investments.
