WikiLeaks Donor Burns 600 ETH, Leaves Messages on ‘Mind Control’
On February 17, a user burned 500 ETH (approximately $1.3 million at the time of writing), leaving an on-chain message warning of ‘mind control’ in Chinese.
‘Kuande Investment executives Feng Xin and Xu Yuzhi used computer-brain weapons to persecute all employees, including former ones, and even fell under its control themselves,’ the message stated.
Kuande Investment (also known as WizardQuant) is a China-based hedge fund specializing in trading across various financial markets, including futures, stocks, and options.
On February 10, the same address sent 33.03 ETH (~$91,000) to a burn wallet with a similar message:
‘With the continuous development of brain-computer interfaces and mind-reading technologies, a new type of crime has emerged where wild animals become puppets or complete slaves of digital machines.’
On February 15, the user destroyed another 70.36 ETH (~$194,000), repeating the previous text.
According to on-chain data, the funds initially came from OKX and Binance exchanges. Additionally, the wallet sent donations to WikiLeaks totaling 711.52 ETH (~$1.97 million).
The latest donation to the WikiLeaks address, amounting to 591.62 ETH (~$1.63 million), was made by the user on the morning of January 17, accompanied by a message stating:
‘I am Hu Lezhi, an ordinary programmer and entrepreneur. Since October 2022, I realized that a mind control organization has been monitoring and manipulating me since birth. When I discovered its existence, they intensified their harm towards me. These last two years have been extremely painful, and now I have lost all dignity as a human being. I have decided to leave this world and also hope that this ugly world will soon be destroyed.’
In another on-chain message, he claimed that ‘brain chips are already widely used for military purposes, and all major military powers use stations, radio signals, and nano-machines to control citizens.’
In recent days, the user also sent 1238 ETH (~$3.4 million) to various unidentified addresses.
Earlier in February, the supply of Ethereum increased to 120,521,725 ETH. Comparable levels were last observed in September 2022, before the update The Merge.
