MetaMask Expands to Support Solana

The popular Web3 wallet MetaMask has incorporated support for Solana in its browser extension.

The addition of the “people’s cryptocurrency” to the mobile application is expected in the coming weeks. Integration of other non-EVM networks is also planned for the foreseeable future.

MetaMask’s user base has surpassed 100 million.

Back in February, developers announced direct support for Bitcoin, with implementation set for the third quarter.

To simplify transactions, the team is actively adopting the ERC-5792 standard, which allows for batch sequential operations, and is also integrating account abstraction.
