To commemorate the occasion, the Ethereum Foundation (EF) will release commemorative NFTs. These non-fungible tokens can be claimed until July 31.
The EF noted that the blockchain’s launch opened new possibilities for the internet, leading to innovations in finance and property rights programming.
“Ten years have passed, eternity lies ahead,” the organization stated.
In celebration of the anniversary, over 100 events will take place. The project team encouraged users to find an event in their city to “help Ethereum enter a new decade.”
Additionally, a live broadcast will be held on July 30 to celebrate. During the stream, participants will recall Ethereum’s history and discuss the project’s next decade. Speakers will include Vitalik Buterin, Joseph Lubin, Tim Beiko, and other developers from around the world.
Back in May, the network of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization activated the major Pectra upgrade. In July, it was announced that the next hard fork, Fusaka, will be deployed in November.
