Ethereum assets among the most profitable on the cryptocurrency market

Assets issued on the Ethereum blockchain have been the most profitable this year. This is evidenced by data from analytics company Messari.

The average yield among 178 assets for 2020 was nearly 130%. The total market capitalization of these tokens grew to $63.7 billion, representing about 20% of the total cryptocurrency market.

Ten of them gained more than 500% year-to-date. They include leading DeFi sector players Bancor (BNT) and Kyber Network (KNC). A third of the assets grew by more than double.

_only 54 tokens were losses; 124 posted gains. Fifteen coins lost less than 10% since the start of the year, and nine fell by more than 50%._

ETH ranked 41st in price growth this year among tokens on its native blockchain. Its price rose by 142%, despite the problem of rising network fees.

\n

Over the past month, Ethereum miners’ revenues rose by 60%, while the price of the cryptocurrency increased by 40%. At the same time, the Ethereum network’s gas limit increased to 12.5 million.
