Bittrex Tries to Lure Binance Users Amid Roskomnadzor Troubles

The cryptocurrency exchange Bittrex Global has sent letters to users urging them to transfer funds from the Binance platform in connection with the notice that the latter has been added to the register of sites banned in the Russian Federation. The letter is in ForkLog’s possession.

In the letter, users were ‘strongly’ advised to move assets from Binance to accounts at the Bittrex Global exchange.

ForkLog requested comment from Bittrex representatives.

Binance declined to comment.

received a notice from Roskomnadzor that the platform had been added to the register of sites banned in the Russian Federation for information about selling cryptocurrency in late September.

The platform intends to challenge Roskomnadzor’s decision.

Earlier, Bittrex said that it would discontinue serving users from Ukraine, Belarus and several other countries due to issues in their regulatory frameworks.
