MakerDAO joins Kakao’s Klaytn governance council

The DeFi project MakerDAO has joined the governance council of Kakao’s blockchain platform Klaytn.

The Klaytn Governance Council is an international alliance of companies and organisations that oversees the operation of the network’s nodes and stimulates ecosystem growth. Council members participate in key decisions related to business and technical updates.

Among the alliance’s 32 private partners are LG Electronics, the Philippines’ largest bank UnionBank, and cryptocurrency exchanges Binance and Huobi.

The service-oriented blockchain platform was developed by Ground X, a subsidiary of Kakao.

The Klaytn mainnet was launched in June 2019.
