Miners detained in Abkhazia

Abkhazia’s customs control detected an illegally imported batch of mining equipment. This was reported on the agency site.

In total, customs officers identified 16 miners. The case materials have been forwarded to the Department of Investigations and Customs Investigations of the State Committee.

As reported, according to one of decrees of the government, the import of cryptocurrency mining equipment to Abkhazia is temporarily prohibited.

According to local media, due to mining the Abkhazian power system was on the verge of a crisis.

Earlier, the Ministry of Economy of Abkhazia reported that 65 mining farms were added to the register and said they would continue to identify those not yet registered.
