
KuCoin Resumes Withdrawals of Crypto Assets After Hack
Two months after the hacking attack, the cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin восстановила deposits and withdrawals for all assets listed on the platform.
The statement said that, due to ongoing legal proceedings, daily limits have been imposed on certain tokens. During the period of the restrictions, the exchange will not charge fees for exchanging them.
KuCoin also said it planned to support updating the contracts for BUX Platform Token (BPT), LockTrip (LOC), ARCS (ARX) and Dock (DOCK) at the request of project teams, and restore their maintenance.
As reported, unknown hacked KuCoin on September 26. Analysts assessed the damage at $280 million.
In early October, KuCoin CEO Johnny Li stated that the platform had identified suspects in the attack and secured an additional $64 million at their addresses.
On November 11, the exchange announced the recovery of 84% of the stolen assets through blockchain transaction tracing, updating of smart contracts and legal recoveries.
