
Bybit adds support for the Russian ruble and Ukrainian hryvnia
Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange Bybit announced integration with European payment service Mercuryo. From November 25, customers will be able to buy BTC, ETH and USDT with bank cards.

Mercuryo’s payment gateway supports the Russian ruble, Ukrainian hryvnia, US dollar, euro, British pound and Turkish lira. The service interface is translated into Russian. In addition, Mercuryo has Russian-speaking customer support.

According to Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou, the strategic partnership with Mercuryo will broaden Bybit users’ capabilities and enable them to begin trading quickly and securely:

Bybit selected a payment provider based on several criteria: reputation, the size of fees, user-language support, security and transaction speed. Mecruryo meets all our requirements.”

The CBDO and co-founder of Mercuryo, Peter Kozyakov, is confident that Mercuryo’s seamless fiat gateway will significantly simplify cryptocurrency purchases for Bybit users.

“We are pleased to support Bybit in its drive to make cryptocurrency simpler and more accessible. Our team is proud to partner with one of the largest crypto exchanges,” he notes.

Mercuryo complies with the PCI DSS standard for credit card data security and AML standards. The service fee stands at 3.95%. This is 2–16% lower than that of payment providers Banxa, MoonPay and Xanpool.

Bybit does not charge additional fees when buying cryptocurrency with a bank card. The exchange calculates fees for fiat operations using the pricing on the Kraken trading platform.

Bybit — crypto-derivatives exchange headquartered in Singapore and registered in the British Virgin Islands. The exchange has been operating since 2018 and supports nine trading pairs.

Earlier in November, Bybit became a partner of the German football club Borussia Dortmund.
