
Bitcoin price climbs above $31,500
On January 2, Bitcoin’s price surpassed $31,500. The price of the leading cryptocurrency hit all-time highs several times during the day.
The $30,000 level for Bitcoin surpassed around 15:00 (Moscow time). It took just over an hour for the flagship cryptocurrency to break through $31,000.

Popular analyst Crypto₿ull, who has more than 162,000 followers on Twitter, commented on the price movement of the flagship:
“$33 000 for Bitcoin by July” will soon become a bearish statement.
Michaël van de Poppe noted that from the March 2020 lows, Bitcoin has risen by 740%.

Despite rising to new all-time highs, Bitcoin has not yet reached $1 million — a bold forecast made in 2017 by the controversial entrepreneur John McAfee. He later renounced the promise to eat his own penis if it did not come true, in January last year.
CEO Jesse Powell of Kraken is confident that the price of the leading cryptocurrency will reach this milestone, but it will happen within the next ten years.
Renowned trader Tone Vays believes Bitcoin will rise to $300,000 in 2021. Best-selling author of ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ and entrepreneur Robert Kiyosaki previously gave a more conservative forecast — $75,000 per Bitcoin.
