XRP climbs 60% to reclaim fourth-largest crypto by market capitalization

The XRP token price from Ripple surged by more than 60%, breaking the $0.50 barrier.

The move was accompanied by a spike in trading volume.

XRP has returned to the fourth place in the rankings of crypto assets by market capitalization, displacing Polkadot.

“XRP uses the same rocket fuel as Dogecoin yesterday,” wrote KingJamesDHorrid.

The Dogecoin he mentioned on Friday rose by more than 400%, briefly leaving the top 10 by market capitalization.

Earlier today ForkLog reported that Ripple filed a response to the SEC lawsuit, in which it is argued that the allegations of issuing unregistered securities are based on an “unprecedented and ill-conceived legal theory”.
