XRP price slips below $0.45 after reaching $0.75

On Monday, February 1, Ripple’s XRP token price slipped below $0.45 after reaching $0.75.

As of writing, the asset was trading at around $0.43.

The token briefly displaced Tether from third place in the ranking.

Earlier on Jan 30, Ripple representatives asked the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for information on why the agency does not classify Bitcoin and Ethereum as securities.

On the same day, XRP’s price rose more than 60%.
