Russian loses about 3.8 million rubles in cafe while attempting to sell cryptocurrency

A man who attempted to sell cryptocurrency to Moscow law enforcement authorities lost 3,845,500 rubles.

According to ТАСС citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the victim said that the attackers, at the end of January, at a cafe meeting, robbed him by deception and abuse of trust under the pretext of buying cryptocurrency, stealing more than 3 million rubles.

Authorities have launched an investigation.

Earlier last year, almost 15 million rubles were stolen during a Bitcoin purchase.
