Dallas Mavericks fans have been able to use Bitcoin for this purpose for almost two years.
The Dogecoin payments solution is provided by the processing service BitPay.
Regarding the choice of meme cryptocurrency as a payment method, Mark Cuban said:
We chose it because sometimes in business you need to do something fun, engaging and, hopefully, generate a lot of PR. So, we will accept Dogecoin today, tomorrow and, perhaps, always. For those of you who would like to know more about the coin, we strongly recommend talking to your teenagers who sit on TikTok, and ask them. They will be able to explain everything to you.
In February the billionaire stated that, for educational purposes bought Dogecoin for his 11-year-old son.
Earlier, Cuban stated that he does not believe Bitcoin can become a fully-fledged currency. He called digital gold a store of value, rather than a means of payment.
