Weibo blocks Huobi, OKEx, Binance and MXC accounts
The Chinese microblogging service Weibo blocked the accounts of cryptocurrency exchanges Huobi, OKEx, Binance and MXC. The Block reports.
According to the publication, the suspensions were based on violations of the community rules. The platform’s representatives did not specify what exactly was involved.
In November 2019, Weibo blocked Binance’s account for violations of laws and regulatory requirements and community provisions. The account’s content and followers were also deleted.
Later the service took similar measures against the accounts of the TRON founder Justin Sun and Binance’s CMO Yi He.
Earlier, on March 10, 2021, Twitter suspended access to the profiles of several crypto experts. Willy Woo’s account was unblocked six hours later, citing an algorithmic error.
