Bakkt launches mobile Bitcoin wallet

Bakkt’s institutional platform for trading bitcoin derivatives has launched a mobile app that lets users store, buy and sell Bitcoin.

According to the statement, Bakkt App users can also:

• accumulate rewards from loyalty programs;
• send cryptocurrency or fiat to friends;
• purchase gift cards at discounts from more than 75 brands;
• convert individual loyalty points into cash.

The digital wallet is available on Android and iOS platforms.

Earlier in March, Bakkt announced the launch of the app, which will allow settling with merchants in cryptocurrency.
