Coinbase sponsors the spring season of Counter-Strike

The cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase will sponsor the spring season of Counter-Strike in the BLAST Premier esports league.

Coinbase will be represented at the Spring Showdown tournament, which runs from April 13 to 18, and the Final stage, scheduled from June 15 to 20.

The company also sponsors the broadcast The Economy Play, during which commentators discuss how wisely teams spent their funds on weapon purchases during the game.

This year, 32 teams will participate in the BLAST Premier Counter-Strike tournament series, with a total prize pool of more than $2 million.

Earlier, the North American esports organization Evil Geniuses posted on Twitter an image of a player’s jersey bearing the Coinbase logo, hinting at its partnership with the exchange.

Earlier in March 2021 Gemini became the main sponsor of the oldest boat regatta between the rowing clubs of Oxford and Cambridge universities in England.
