Chinese mining giant Ebang launches cryptocurrency exchange

The major Chinese manufacturer of mining equipment Ebang has launched the cryptocurrency exchange Ebonex.io. This was announced on the site.

Ebonex.io offers services for both spot and margin trading and provides access to digital assets only to qualified investors.

Since mid-March 2021, the exchange had been operating in test mode with invitation-only access.

Earlier, as part of the preparations for launching the trading platform, the ASIC-miner manufacturer registered a subsidiary in Singapore and sought approval and a licence from the relevant authorities.

In late June, the company disclosed plans to expand the business by creating an exchange, ahead of its Nasdaq IPO.
