Hamster on Twitch, ‘trading cryptocurrencies’, from his cage

The hamster’s owner, Mr. Goxx, has created a special cage for him, from which the rodent ‘trades’ on the cryptocurrency market.

The developer connected a running wheel and two tunnels to optical sensors that detect movement.

By turning the wheel, the hamster ‘selects’ a particular cryptocurrency for trading. The program will sell the coin when the rodent runs through the left tunnel, and buy when it passes through the right.

All of Mr. Goxx’s trades are streamed on Twitch. Additional statistics are published on Reddit and Twitter.

\n

The hamster’s portfolio includes 10 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP. The rodent bought 34 times and sold 15 times, with a total trading volume of €1327. Losses at the time of writing amount to €12.89.

\n

The owner of the rodent stressed that Mr. Goxx is not experiencing discomfort and lives an ordinary hamster’s life.

\n

The developer warned that he created the project for entertainment and did not recommend investing based on the animal’s ‘forecasts’.

\n

Back in 2018, Coinspot launched a YouTube show Hamster Insider, in which the rodent predicted the market direction for the next 10 days. The channel produced only two episodes.
