Study Reveals Businesses Unprepared for Increasing AI Demands

Only 29% of large companies believe their infrastructure can scale to meet growing AI demands, according to a study by Tata Communications and Bloomberg Media Studios. The survey included 501 senior executives from firms with revenues of $500 million or more in North America, Europe, and Asia. Despite this, 77% of executives consider AI a board-level priority, while 65% of companies still rely on outdated or developing infrastructure.

US and Japan to Invest $1 Billion in Quantum Science, AI, and Future Technologies

The US and Japan have announced a strategic partnership under the Genesis Mission. The collaboration will encompass quantum information sciences, AI, fusion energy, new materials, and biotechnology. The partners plan to invest $1 billion over five years, with each side contributing $500 million. Eleven joint teams will integrate 12 national DOE laboratories, one Office of Science user facility, and 12 Japanese research institutes; participants will gain access to DOE computing systems and the Fugaku supercomputer.

Coinbase and Ripple Urge Senate Vote on CLARITY Act

More than 200 industry associations, public organizations, and crypto companies, including Coinbase and Ripple, have urged the U.S. Senate to hold a vote on the CLARITY Act. The appeal was sent to Republican Majority Leader John Thune and Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, according to The Block. The CLARITY Act aims to establish regulatory guidelines for the digital asset market in the U.S. and delineate the authority of supervisory agencies.
