Saint Petersburg resident’s iPhone stolen and cryptocurrency withdrawn worth 1.5 million rubles

A resident of Saint Petersburg reported to the police a theft of his phone and subsequent withdrawal of funds, including cryptocurrency. This was reported by Fontanka.

According to the man, an unknown assailant stole his iPhone 11, then withdrew 67,000 rubles from his accounts and moved cryptocurrency worth $20,500 (more than 1.5 million rubles).

The total loss was estimated at 1.6 million rubles.

The police in the Vyborg district have opened an inquiry into the report.

Earlier it was reported that 20 residents of Saratov Oblast lost about a million rubles due to cryptocurrency fraudsters.
