Binance.US names Joshua Sroge interim CEO
Binance.US chief financial officer Joshua Sroge has been appointed interim CEO of the U.S. arm of the Bitcoin exchange. The Block reports, citing sources.
The decision was taken by the platform’s board of directors. Sroge will lead Binance.US until the company finds a replacement for Brian Brooks — he left the post in early August.
According to Bloomberg, the exchange also offered a leadership post in Singapore to Richard Teng, the former chief executive of the Abu Dhabi Financial Services Regulatory Authority, within ADGM.
Friends with knowledge of the matter said Binance is in talks with Teng. One of the interviewees added that the company had made a similar offer to ‘other executives,’ but did not disclose details.
Before ADGM Teng worked at the Monetary Authority of Singapore and held the position of Director of Regulation at the Singapore Exchange (SGX), according to his LinkedIn profile.
