Collector nets $1.22 million from CryptoPunk resale in one day
An NFT collector, Pranksy, bought a zombie Punk from the popular CryptoPunks collection for 1000 ETH — about $3.9 million at the time of the deal. On the same day he sold the NFT for 1320 ETH (~$5.12 million).

“The first rule of NFTs is to always stay liquid. Always,” he commented on the purchase.
Pranksy acquired CryptoPunk #6275 on September 4, just eight hours after the token was put up for sale. Its high price is due to rare attributes.
The NFT is one of 88 zombie Punks in a collection of 10,000. The token also features the attributes “shadow beard” (present in 526 Punks) and “dark Mohawk” (present in 429 Punks).
The Pranksy NFT turned out to be so rare that on the same day he received an offer for 1600 ETH (~$6.27 million). Later the collector sold the token for less — for 1320 ETH.

According to CryptoSlam, in the last 24 hours the aggregate trading volume for CryptoPunk tokens stood at $17.82 million. Half of that was from trades of Punk #6275.
The purchase of the NFT for 1320 ETH was the seventh-largest deal for tokens from the Larva Labs collection conducted on a public marketplace. In first place is the alien Punk #3100, sold for 4200 ETH (~$7.58 million at the time of the deal).

The absolute record belongs to NFT CryptoPunk #7523, also known as the COVID Alien. In June the auction house Sotheby’s sold the token for 4520 ETH ($11.8 million at the time of the deal).
Earlier, Pranksy paid $335,000 for an NFT, allegedly belonging to the anonymous artist Banksy.
