Bitcoin 2022 conference to draw more than 30,000 attendees in Miami

One of the largest Bitcoin conferences, Bitcoin 2022 will take place from 6 to 9 April 2022 in Miami. Organisers told ForkLog.

Industry Day will open the program, with more than 6,000 global industry leaders, 80 speakers and 4,000 companies taking part. The main topics are the widespread adoption of Bitcoin and the continued development of the industry.

After two days of the main conference, the Sound Money Fest music festival will take place. It will bring together founders, executives, Bitcoin experts and newcomers to participate in panel discussions, networking and live performances.

Organisers expect Bitcoin 2022 to attract more than 30,000 guests from around the world. The event will be broadcast live in multiple languages.

Prospective attendees will be offered several participation options:

  • general admission (7-9 April);
  • Industry Pass (6-9 April);
  • Whale Pass (VIP access for all conference days).

Organisers also pledged to offer free tickets for some categories of guests, including students.

In March 2020 the conference was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Bitcoin 2020 was to feature Blockstream CEO Adam Back, cryptographer Nick Szabo, Bitcoin developer Matt Corallo and others.

In June 2021 the event drew more than 12,000 attendees to Miami. Among the speakers was El Salvador’s president Nayib Bukele — at the time he announced plans to recognise Bitcoin as legal tender. A few days later the country’s authorities adopted the corresponding document, which will take effect on September 7.
