The Graph Foundation team, behind the decentralised data-indexing protocol, has begun testing the service on the NEAR Protocol network.

“The Graph has expanded beyond EVM thanks to NEAR Protocol support,” the developers said.
According to them, the service is now operating on a network that is not compatible with the Ethereum blockchain.
Representatives of NEAR Protocol noted that the integration will allow creating public APIs (subgraphs) on the network — this will give Web3 infrastructure the ability to support even more decentralised applications.
Tegan Klein, co-founder of Edge & Node and The Graph, in a comment to CoinDesk said that the Graph Foundation would continue to offer grants to expand the service.
In December 2020, the creators of The Graph announced the launch of a decentralised data-indexing protocol on the Ethereum mainnet. They described their development as the Internet without Google.
In late October 2021, NEAR Protocol established a fund of $800 million to finance developers and individual projects in the ecosystem through grants.
