Customers at 514 cinemas can buy tickets, popcorn and snacks using Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Litecoin, USDC, GUSD, DAI, Cosmos, Basic Attention Token and other cryptocurrencies.
Regal’s Chief Marketing Officer Ken Teves said the network aims to be ‘the best place to watch a movie’. He noted that moviegoers had asked for digital asset support.
“We are pleased to partner with Flexa — a company that is revolutionising digital payments with leading software and an innovative business platform,” he added.
Earlier, the competitor AMC Theatres added support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin.
Back in May 2021, the American chain of 24/7 markets, cafés and gas stations Sheetz began accepting cryptocurrencies.
