BitNile reports purchase of 20,600 miners from Bitmain

The mining company BitNile, a subsidiary of the Ault Global Holdings conglomerate, signed agreements to purchase a total of 20,600 ASIC devices. This, stated in a press release.

According to an unaudited report, the devices comprise 4,600 Antminer S19XP and 16,000 Antminer S19j Pro from Bitmain.

“From November 2021, BitNile has been receiving 300 S19j Pro miners per month under the agreement. From March 2022 the plan is to rise to 2,300 devices per month,” the statement said.

After deploying the equipment, the company expects to boost its hash rate to 2.24 EH/s. The data centre is located in Michigan.

Earlier, the board of directors of Ault Global Holdings approved a $140 million capital increase for BitNile. The funds were to be used to acquire 16,000 ASIC devices.

Earlier in December, Marathon Digital Holdings agreed with Bitmain to purchase 78,000 Antminer S19XP units for $879.06 million.
