Media: Chainalysis valued at $8.6 billion after another funding round

The analytics company Chainalysis attracted $170 million in a Series F funding round from the Singapore sovereign wealth fund and other investors at a valuation of $8.6 billion, according to sources cited by The Information.

In June 2021, based on the previous funding round, the valuation $4.2 billion, in March of the same year the startup valued at just over$2 billion.

\n\n

In 2020 the company opened offices in Singapore and Tokyo to bolster its presence in APAC. Today Chainalysis serves the interests of various government agencies, exchanges, financial institutions and cybersecurity firms in more than 70 countries.

\n\n

In April 2022, the company launched two new tools for identifying sanctioned cryptocurrency wallets.

\n\n

In February, BNY Mellon and Chainalysis reached an agreement on using the startup’s products to comply with legal requirements in the cryptocurrency space as part of the risk-management program.
