Kalush Orchestra sells Eurovision 2022 prize to a crypto exchange

The Eurovision Song Contest 2022-winning Kalush Orchestra sold their prize for $900,000. They announced on social media.

The crystal microphone was acquired by the cryptocurrency exchange WhiteBIT. All proceeds will go to the PD-2 unmanned system for the Ukrainian army.

The charity auction of Eurovision 2022’s top prize began on May 25, with results announced during a live broadcast.

Update:

In a comment to ForkLog, WhiteBIT representatives said they also received the NFT of the cup and a dinner with Kalush Orchestra members. The platform has not yet disclosed any further plans for the crystal microphone.

Earlier this month, Kalush Orchestra joined the NFT project on Binance for Ukraine relief.
