Two senior executives leave Binance Labs
Binance’s venture arm will lose its CEO Bill Chin. A month earlier, the firm’s chief investment officer Nicole Zhang resigned, The Block reports.
Representatives of the Bitcoin exchange told ForkLog of Chin’s impending departure “for personal reasons,” and of the termination of cooperation with Zhang, with a view to resuming it in the future.
Chin joined Binance Labs in March 2020. Previously, for five years he served as head of investments at JD Group.
Zhang joined the team of the company in April 2020. She moved to the venture firm Lingfeng Capital, where she runs its Innovation Fund.
According to the Binance Labs site, it is currently led by Ken Lee and Peter Ho.
In June, the organization launched a $500 million fund focused on DeFi, NFTs, gaming, metaverses and social networks.
