Alchemy to raise $12 million for venture fund

The infrastructure blockchain platform Alchemy has filed with the SEC to launch a $12 million venture fund. The fund’s purpose has not been disclosed.

Joseph Lau is listed as the CEO of Alchemy SPV III, the co-founder and CTO of the firm.

In December 2021, the platform created a venture arm to support teams behind major projects such as OpenSea, Dapper Labs and 0x.

Founded in 2017, Alchemy provides a broad suite of tools for building decentralized exchanges and NFT marketplaces.

The platform underpins NFT marketplaces including OpenSea, Dapper Labs, NBA Top Shot and SuperRare. Alchemy’s services are used by Coinbase, unnamed leading investment banks and multinational corporations such as Adobe and PwC.

launched a grant program for Web3 developers worth $25 million.

In August, Alchemyentered into a partnership with the Polkadot-based project Astar.

Earlier the platform raised $200 million at a valuation of $10.2 billion.
