Rare CryptoPunk NFT from the CryptoPunks collection sold for $4.4 million.

An unknown buyer purchased the non-fungible token (NFT) CryptoPunk #2924 for 3,300 ETH (more than $4.4 million at the time of the deal).

Despite the bear market, the deal was the fourth-highest priced in ETH and the tenth-highest in USD in the collection’s history, according to CryptoSlam.

In 2017, the Larva Labs team launched the CryptoPunks collection of 10,000 NFT images sized 24×24 pixels. Initially many of the project’s non-fungible tokens were distributed for free.

Earlier, NFT project Doodles raised $54 million from venture capital firm Seven Seven Six, co-founded by Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian.

The number of Solana NFTs issued exceeded 300,000.
