Reddit users have released more than 4.4 million collectible avatars

The number of collectible avatars issued by Reddit users on the blockchain Polygon neared 4.5 million.

On Saturday, 3 December, Reddit users set a new record, releasing 255,000 avatars in a day. The previous high of 200,000 units was recorded on 31 August.

\n\n

The audience of the limited-edition series neared 3.8 million. At least one avatar has been released by more than 3.5 million users.

\n\n

Earlier in July, the initiative’s it was said that the platform is exploring blockchain as one of the ways to expand the capabilities and independence of communities.

\n\n

Reddit does not identify collectible avatars as NFT and accepts only fiat as payment.

\n\n

In November, Meta announced the ability to create its own NFT collections on Instagram. Initially, the option will be available on the Polygon blockchain.
