Public consultations begin in Kazakhstan on cryptocurrency trading

The AIFC Financial Services Regulation Committee released a consultation document on proposed improvements to the digital asset trading system.

In particular, it lays out for discussion measures to reduce market risk, proposals to improve the existing structure of digital asset platforms, and options for restructuring it.

Current and prospective participants of the AIFC, as well as other interested parties, are invited to participate in the consultations. Comments are accepted until February 25.

The approved proposals will be incorporated into the draft amendments to the AIFC’s Concept of Digital Asset Trading in 2023.

Earlier in Kazakhstan, a new edition of the Law on Digital Assets and four accompanying regulatory acts were approved.
