Canadian miner Pow.re closes $9.2m Series A at a $150m valuation

Canadian mining company Pow.re closed a Series A financing round of $9.2m. Its valuation reached $150m, it says in a press release.

The round was led by Haru Invest, a platform for crypto-asset management, which also provided strategic investments totaling $18m. Pow.re will deploy the funds to expand its business in Paraguay.

\n\n

Other participants in the round were Trinito Corporation and RFD Capital.

\n\n

\”This will allow us to accelerate growth and capitalise on opportunities in the current market conditions,\” said Pow.re’s chief financial officer Calvin Tai.

\n\n

The company plans to deploy the funds to develop its infrastructure.

\n\n

In January, the infrastructure company Blockstream raised $125m to expand hosting services.
