Injective to deploy Solana apps in the Cosmos ecosystem

The Injective blockchain team has launched Cascade, an interop solution that will allow Solana developers to deploy their applications in the Cosmos ecosystem.

Cascade, as a second-layer solution on top of Injective, integrates Solana SVM — a parallel smart-contract execution environment. This will allow developers to seamlessly port dapps between networks.

The solution became possible thanks to a partnership with the technology provider rollups (rollups) Eclipse. The latter controls the sequencer. This software enables the collection of transactions from Solana wallets and deployed smart contracts via ‘accumulative packets’.

Blocks created by the sequencer are sent to the data availability layer, while Injective handles the computations.

Going forward, Cascade developers plan to integrate Celestia‘s modular data-provider architecture as a data provider, which is expected to enhance the solution’s scalability.

It is already live on the Injective testnet. The mainnet launch is expected in the near future.

“Cascade will not only allow Solana developers to deploy their dapps on Injective, but will also give users more opportunities to work with the best Web3-applications in a single integrated network,” said Eric Chen, co-founder and CEO of Injective Labs.

In February, Solana validators twice restarted the network due to an unknown error. Outages in the blockchain were reported in 2022 as well.
