
Hacker hacks KuCoin’s Twitter account
KuCoin's Twitter account was compromised, causing losses of $22,628 for users, with an ongoing investigation.
On April 24, the Twitter account of the KuCoin cryptocurrency exchange was compromised, resulting in losses of $22,628 for users.
1/ The @kucoincom handle was compromised for about 45 mins from 00:00 Apr 24 (UTC+2). A fake activity was posted and unfortunately led to asset losses for several users. KuCoin will fully reimburse all verified asset losses caused by the social media breach and the fake activity.

In total, 22 transactions related to the fake activity were identified.
According to the exchange’s representatives, funds on the exchange are safe. The company is currently investigating the incident.
\”To prevent harming a greater number of users, we are currently reviewing and blocking suspicious addresses,\” KuCoin said.
The exchange’s trading platform team pledged to reimburse losses to affected users and bolster the security of its social media accounts.
Earlier, the New York state filed a lawsuit against KuCoin, accusing the exchange of violating securities laws by offering tokens without a license.
Earlier in March, the attacker hacked the Twitter account of Circle’s Chief Strategy Officer Dante Disparte to promote a scam.
