At launch, the marketplace, named ANA GranWhale, supports the MetaMask wallet, as well as fiat payments via credit cards.
The platform features tokenized works by aviation photographer Luka Odzavy, 3D models of various aircraft, and a collection of generative images Airbits in the form of pixelated pilots.
“The initiative aims to unlock the potential of NFTs in the aviation sector by blending digital and physical realms to create unique and memorable experiences that bring the world together,” the company said in a press release.
The platform is owned by the airline group’s subsidiary — ANA NEO.
The company is also working on its own metaverse, which will integrate passengers’ flight histories into digital avatars.
Earlier in March, Argentine low-cost Flybondi launched the Ticket 3.0 campaign, under which it began issuing tickets as non-fungible tokens.
